Maglor's Gap

   The region between the northern arms of Gelion where there were no hills of defence against the North.

   Widest of the northern passes into Beleriand.
   A lowland region lying between Himring and the Blue Mountains, the widest break in the northern mountain-fences of Beleriand. It was guarded against the forces of Morgoth in the early First Age by Maglor, second son of Fëanor.
